How to Put a Stamp on a Photo
Easily add a digital stamp, signature, or custom seal to any photograph as a watermark or signature.
Whether you're a professional photographer wanting to subtly watermark your images before publishing them online, or you want to add a fun, personalized stamp to a family portrait, putting a digital stamp perfectly on a photo is incredibly useful.
Using traditional, heavy photo editing software for this task can sometimes be overly complicated, involving complex layers, masks, and blending options. In this guide, we'll show you an incredibly simple way to overlay any digital stamp seamlessly onto your photos.

Why Add a Stamp to a Photo?
- Watermarking: Protect your intellectual property by applying a semi-transparent company seal or personal logo.
- Authenticity: Give a digital photograph a "vintage" aesthetic feel by adding a digital replica of an old rubber stamp.
- Branding: Ensure your overall visual identity authentically travels with your images when they are widely shared on social media.
Step 1: Upload Your Image and Stamp
First, securely open our online digital stamping tool. You'll need two separate files: your main photograph (the background) and your digital stamp graphic (preferably a transparent PNG).

Drag and drop your photograph into the main editor window. Next, simply upload your digital stamp using the intuitive side panel, or deliberately select one from our extensive library of high-quality templates.
Step 2: Position and Blend Your Stamp
Once both images are fully loaded, click your stamp to instantly drop it onto the active photograph. You can freely drag the stamp around the screen. Most professional photographers choose to place their watermarks in the bottom-right or bottom-left corners so they remain unobtrusive.

(Using our background removal and transparency tools ensures your stamp blends perfectly with the photo)
To make it look like a seamless, natural watermark, you should actively adjust the Opacity slider. Dropping the opacity to somewhere precisely between 30% and 50% will make the solid stamp semi-transparent, seamlessly allowing the beautiful detailed pixels of your photograph to faintly show through the ink. This successfully prevents the stamp from completely overpowering the underlying image content.
Step 3: Export Your Masterpiece
Once the digital stamp is perfectly positioned and naturally blended to your liking, click Export. Your newly stamped photo will be instantly saved as a high-resolution JPEG or PNG, completely ready for the entire world to see!
